I've been tempted to rent that version and watch it but have never done it --thanks for the info!

No problem!

If you have Netflix, the Swedish version is available for streaming. I have it in my queue. One day I'll get to it. lol

Oh! I do have Netflix -- I could watch it on my "fancy schmancy" IPad! LOL!

I've seen all the Dragon Tattoo movies and honestly I wasn't overly impressed with either version- there are 3 movies in the Swedish version, like the books. I imagine we have more American movies coming. Like Hapy said, its very hard to do justice in movie form, once you've read the book. Maybe its because we each paint such an individual picture of the characters in our heads.

That being said, I'm still very willing to give The Hunger Games a try! The trailers suck me right in, something the Tattoo ones never did.

Read them TK! You won't regret it!

I agree that movies never do the books justice. There is always so much more detail and character development in books. I think the only movies made from books that didn't totally disappoint me were the Harry Potter series. I loved those books and I thought even though a lot of detail was omitted just due to time constraints, they did a pretty good job.

I finished the first book last week, finally. I'm in the middle of Catching Fire right now! I'm kind of addicted. LOL

I finally have a little bit of time for myself these days, in the midst of school, so I'm taking advantage. I think I might go see the movie tonight now that I've at least finished the first book.

Since I finished the Fifty trilogy, my daughter has thrown Hunger Games in my lap. I guess I have to read it. LOL

Exactly Wingz! It reminded me of Survivor to the Death! I really liked the books -- they were unsettling to say the least, but I read the trilogy in about two weeks!

I still haven't started the Shades of Gray books -- just can't get too excited about it -- but a girlfriend of mine who has read all three said I'd be "getting excited" once I started reading them.
