Yakksters, another Race is now upon us! Traditionally this is done before the season starts, but this is the Yak. Traditional doesn't always happen here ... and that's what makes us special!

Here's how the game works:

It's actually quite simple. Pick the team you think will make it first to the Finish Line for the $1,000,000 prize. Please PM me your picks NO LATER than Sunday, October 4 @ 7PM EST/6PM CST. I'll post everyone's picks in a separate "Leaderboard Thread". If your picks get eliminated, you are also out of the game. No back up picks. Sorry.

However, we will be throwing our own twists to the Race throughout the season. The details will be released as necessary. Extra points will always be up for grabs AND even if your pick is no longer in the Race, you will be eligible for these surprise "legs."

Scoring will be based on the episode on October 4th and all episodes following. Finally, 5 points will be subtracted from your score if your pick is eliminated. This could make the difference with our "bonus legs" throughout the season!

Scoring for Pick 'em will be as follows ~

@ the Pit Stop:
1st place - 15pts
2nd place - 6th place - 7pts
7th place - 11th place - 2pts
(Note: Point system will change when we reach the Final 6 to the following:
1st place - 15pts
2nd place - 10pts
3rd place - 9pts
4th place - 8pts
5th place - 7 pts
6th place - 6pts)

@ the Detour:
1st team to arrive - 10pts
1st team to complete - 10pts

@ the Roadblock:
1st team to arrive - 10pts
1st team to complete - 10pts

Bonus points:
Successfully Complete Fast Forward - 30pts
Require another team to complete U-Turn - 15pts
Team Member's Quote Used as Episode Title - 10pts
Helping another team complete a task - 10pts (Help: stopping to help another team complete a task; defined by MORE than just pointing a team in the right direction to a clue, for example)

Scoring system is subject to change BEFORE October 4th. Updates can be found in this thread. Please don't post your picks in this thread, but, by all means, feel free to ask any questions you have!

Hey Wingz -- I can't remember names on these teams yet, but I want to pick the team with ****************. Sorry -- I suck with names -- it usually takes me at least three or four episodes before I can remember who everyone is.

Edit by Wingz: Elizabeth, I've edited your post to keep who you chose a secret. ;-) This way people don't start knowing who picked who just yet. I will remember, but if you want to PM me your pick, that'd be great.
