Default frequent strep infections

Is it medically plausible to recommend a consult with an ENT for possible tonsil removal for a child who gets frequent strep infections. PCP thinks the strep may be so far in the tonsils that antibiotics not having much success completely getting rid of.

And did the PCP have a suggestion after that? Sure, removal is definitely possible. I, however, can't make the referral. LOL

Speaking of work excuse slips, here's a funny one my mother once recieved from one of her workers. It read:

To Whom It May Concern:

Please excuse (Jane Doe) from work today. She came down with a case of spinal meningits (note incorrect spelling). Thank you

John Doe, PhD.

This is no joke. My mother actually received this!!!
