He is a Catholic that believes there should be no separation of church and state.

Hmmm... I think we tried that once. I wonder when that was... hmmm... let's see... Oh yes, it was around the time our country was born when people were trying to escape that crap.

Santorum and his followers skipped history in 1st grade apparently.

No, we didn't want to be taxed without being represented. We were handing taxes over to a government over seas who monitored or did nothing for us here.

Course, how well are we being represented now? LOL

Great point, the vast majority of women having abortions as a means of "birth control" are not financially stable in the first place. Forcing them to have another baby is just another mouth to feed for the government, its counter productive.

As a woman who cannot physically conceive a child... and never could have done so... I am against abortion. It has nothing to do with my Christian faith or belief in the Bible, but rather the knowledge that there are many women in this world who suffer the same fate as I do in regards to motherhood. Every time I look at my 12 year old nephew, I think God that his 16 year old birth mother made the decision she did, to give him up to a family that would provide him with a loving home. Every time I see a photo of my friend's son adopted from Ethiopia, I thank God that they were able to bring him home in time, he was so ill and not being cared for in the orphanage, he would have died.

With all of that being said, I do not support this new law. I do believe it is wrong to force a woman to undergo any procedure, no matter what it is, if she does not want said procedure.

Yes, I live in Virginia. But it is appalling to see the treatment of women in my state... excuse me, my Commonwealth.

See, I feel the same as teach. It's not about whether you agree or disagree with abortion, it's more than that. It's forcing a procedure, period. If this is allowed, what's next?

The current crop of candidates/elected Republican MEN have this war on women's rights going on and I just don't get it. I really don't. How can this be a wise move? Why are things that were settled 30 years or more ago being "wedge" issues now? 52% of this country are female. How and why would you irritate that huge of a base. I really just don't get it.
