Question Shiny... is it hard to make your own noodles? Never done it before, lol. Also, what kind of store bought noodles do you use?

For some reason, egg noodles sound like the best to use for this recipe.

Absolutely egg noodles.

Egg noodles are easy to make; it's just egg yolks and flour. But then you have to roll them out with even more flour, cut them very, very fine (best with a pasta machine) and let them dry ... you end up with noodles all over the house.

Or you can go to the store and spend about $2 on a package of noodles. Homemade noodles are really, really, really good. The ones from the store are only really, really good.

If you love to cook and have nothing but time, go with homemade noodles. If you have a life or are hungry and impatient, buy them.

Or if you're in Wyoming or another area with a large German population, you can buy them (homemade noodles and butterballs) at the church bake sales and freeze them.

This thread is making me hungry...
