A couple articles I read said they are shifting the blame from owners to players and vice versa. So I don't really know who is to blame. Maybe Saint is right, get used to it then start it in 2013. I have a feeling some players in the 8 team divisions didn't like the 7 team division idea because of the point I mentioned in the initial post about the playoffs. I don't know. I still like the idea, so I hope they go through with it in '13, then.

Doesn't the current CBA expire after this season?? Do you think somebody may be delaying the realignment plan in order to use it as a "bargaining chip" for the next negotiation????

I just read that the current CBA expires this September. I'm thinking there may be something involving that. Which side uses it is beyond me. I just hope it doesn't turn out like the last CBA (dark, dark days in the NHL).

If they ever go there again (which they won't), the league will never build itself back up. It's on a rise (slow, sure, but a rise none the less). Another dark CBA will destroy it for good.

Where else could they go for television coverage? The last CBA dispute killed the contract with ESPN.

Honestly, I was happy the league cut ties with ESPN or vice versa. They never got proper attention from the network anyways. ESPN is too involved in their love affair with the NBA.

NBCSports now will hopefully amp it up a little bit - with a more known name than Versus. The network, ever since the OLN name change to Versus, has given the NHL center stage. It's been great for fans.

I really hope so about NBC. They usually don't start playing airing games here until after the first of the year. I have to get the premium cable package to get Versus. I just hope (and I've said this before) the CBA negotiations go much better this time around.

It's no longer Versus and they are expanding. You might already have NBC Sports Network and not even know it.

Don't have it, and I'd know if we did. My cable company does a very good job of telling e very single extra channel they're charging us for (voluntary or nonvoluntary)!!!
