Default Ask Wingz Welcome & Disclaimer...

Hello fellow Yakkers, our lovely friends Ahrean and TK approached me to be our resident doctor-to-be and I took it with open arms! So what can you do here? Well, if you have any medical questions that you think I might be able to help out with as I travel through medical school, this is where to post them. If you would rather not have your business out in the open, please feel free to PM me if you still want my opinion.

Few orders of business though ...

---What I say should NOT trump what any licensed physician says.
---I am NOT yet a licensed MD; I am only studying to become a physician.
---Whatever I say is a compilation of what I've learned thus far and any research on medical websites I have done pertaining to your question.
---Neither myself of Yakkity Yaks will be held liable for any information I provide.
---What i say can and should be used for only patient education and not a substitute to professional medical advice.

Even though miss Ahrean decided to present me with a "silly" first question, it actually does have medical relevance! However, you should feel free to use this sub-forum for any serious or just "curious" questions you might have! Hope this helps and if you guys have any questions, just ask

My educational background:
For those of you who might be wondering what the heck my qualifications are for medical school, here's a quick slice...

I graduated from the University of Michigan in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. I nearly pursued a Master's of Science in Philadelphia, but instead chose to go straight to medical school in the Caribbean. American University of the Caribbean is on the island of St. Maarten, a part of the Netherlands Antilles. All classroom work will be on this island until April 2010. From there, I will go back to the United States and continue with hospital rotations and clinicals in American hospitals until I graduate in 2012. At that point, I will hopefully have my MD. If you guys have any more questions, lemme know!

Yes, yes, I know. Check the "Who's your role model" thread. haha

Hey folks, just wanted to quickly apologize for taking so long to get to Ahrean's answer. Questions submitted will NOT take that long to be answered - it just so happened because of timing. So...feel free to ask away!
