So, if you're a friend of mine on Facebook you'll have seen it already...

My sister in law and brother gave birth to a baby girl (Gabriella) yesterday; unfortunately, she was premature so her lungs aren't totally yet developed. As a result, baby girl was transferred to a children's hospital where overnight she developed air between her lung and chest wall, because of a hole in her lung.

She's got a tube out of her chest to drain the air and is ventilated currently. They're going to try to remove some tubes tomorrow (maybe) to feed her.

As of now, they're thinking a couple of weeks in the hospital. She's currently in a NICU.

Thoughts, positive vibes, prayers - you name it, if you could send it little Gabby's way that'd be great

1 month.

She had three chest tubes placed as one of the holes in her lung pushed on the heart. For healthcare peoples: tension pneumo. So she had two holes in her lungs. She then started having these tremors that the doctors suspects are seizures, so she is hooked up to an EEG machine. She doesn't even look human.
