Default Hurricane Harvey

Looks like it's going to hit Texas at a Cat 4. Scary stuff. People are trying to leave but the traffic is insane. A few people have refused. Sheriff had to let them know that if they refuse to leave, that they won't be sending in their people to save them. They can't risk their lives like that.

Two things I have heard... One, people that refuse to leave have been told to write their SSN on their arms so they could identify their bodies after. Second, police went door to door and those that refused had their pictures taken for identification later too. How sad.

To put this in perspective, Houston floods when they get 2-3 inches. They could get over 20. Some places could get over 40 inches!!! This is downright biblical.

When I was 6, we had Hurricane Agnes in western PA, where I lived. Like this one, it stalled over us, but it wasn't a hurricane by the time it got to us. And our town still looked like a lake. People were driving boats down my street. And this is going to be even worse.

Well that's not true. He said "Good Luck" and put his thumb up, then proceeded to pardon Arpaio.

There's a storm chaser on twitter that's periscoping from the worst spot. It was pure insanity. On TV the reporters always stand where nothing is happening. But this guy nearly died. His name is Jeff Piotrowski. Check out his scopes from tonight. It's incredible.

I am in the San Antonio area where the majority of the Corpus Christi folks came and the majority did leave but first responders that live ther had to remain in the area!
We are further inland than Houston and the projections are up to 20 inches here so you know they are going to get more in the Houston area. The winds are nuts here like when tornados are close with the fast changing direction and the sudden quieting!
