I haven't read Stephen King's books in a long time. I think the last one I read was Insomnia and that scared the peewillikers out of me. I kept looking at people to see if I could the strings hanging down. Freaky.

Salem's Lot really did me in though. I woke up with nightmares from that book.

I've read a lot of John Saul and Dean Koontz although I couldn't get into Koontz's Odd Thomas books at all.

But The Shining movie was made absolutely spooky because Jack Nicholson was perfect in that movie as was Olive Oyl.

Grandma's looking for a grill. If you don't know what that means, you don't know Grandma.

She was the perfect casting against Nicholson.

I know her correct name....Shelley Dubay...I think that's right. She was in the Popeye movie with Robin Williams and was perfect as Olive Oyl. And yes, she was perfect with Jack Nicholson as well.

Shelley Duvall. She was traumatized making the film. The legendary director Stanley Kubrick is notoriously hard to work with and I guess he practically caused her to have a mental breakdown during the film.

The Dark Tower series...such love. I have not read the final 20 pages of the final book just because I don't want it to be over. I'm a huge fan of Stephen King, but the endings of his recent books have left a lot to be desired. They move along great, normal King stuff, then they just abruptly end as if he couldn't figure out a good way to make it happen. I hope this is different.

I can't imagine any part of him giving into Twilight hooplah, especially considering how it has died down. If anyone can make psychic vampires great again, it'll be him. I look forward to reading this.

Oh and..the "hospice worker" is the kid from the movie, Danny.
