"Single malted ancestry" is an apt turn of phrase. It's not crashing a party if you're handed a drink.
Welcome!

My wife has an ingenious hot cocoa cup she brings along on Halloween, or any cold evening walk-about. Peppermint Schnapps may figure into the equation. She has a pleasant time and measures the length of the evening by the rate the cup empties out. If the kids are moderately well behaved, she sips daintily on her cup and enjoys the outing. The moment the drama starts, her cup is miraculously drained of contents and she "starts getting cold" which signals to the kids that festivities are over. The oldest has twigged to the whole business and does a good job of wrangling the littles. Life is good!

Quick question:

Drunks or alcoholics?

Obviously, alcoholics attend meetings, and a forum is a group discussion....
And we are calling ourselves drunks on a forum....
Does this make us alcoholics who indeed attend support group meetings?

It can't be a 12 step meeting if you have a beer in your hand. Maybe an intervention or something similar.
