homeless man wins fantasy football title despite not having computer
We’ve all had our share of bad beats when it comes to fantasy football. Guys we should have started, guys we should have sat, miracle scores and near-misses litter the landscape of any serious fantasy football player’s life. However, Nathan Harrington of Salem, Mass. has just rendered all of your excuses worthless. That’s because Nathan beat out 3 million ESPN.com users to finish in first overall place in their fantasy football challenge. Oh yeah, and he’s homeless. Mr. Harrington relied on the public library and the assistance of friends to work the waiver wire, adjust his line-up, and put together a stellar season en route to a $3500 Best Buy gift card (which he’s selling to his mother for $2500 cold hard cash.) It wasn’t all roses along the way, however.
